Wind Creek Hospitality Facebook Contest to benefit Charities
Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH) is giving area nonprofit organizations an opportunity to win a share of $125,000. This contest will run in tandem with the Wind Creek Multimillion Dollar Winner’s Express player’s promotion kicking off April 1st.
Entering is simple: Go to any Facebook page for Wind Creek Wetumpka, Wind Creek Montgomery, Wind Creek Atmore or Wind Creek Hospitality through March 17, 2017. Submit a short video describing your organization and how you would use the money. Then invite your friends and family to vote for your video. The nonprofits that receive the most votes will win a share of $125,000. Climb on board to let Wind Creek Hospitality and your communities know how your nonprofit would benefit from the contest. Wind Creek Hospitality is an authority of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Wind Creek Hospitality manages the Tribe’s gaming facilities including: Wind Creek Atmore, Wind Creek Wetumpka, Wind Creek Montgomery, Wa She Shu Casino in Nevada as well as multiple racetracks in Alabama and Florida.
The Poarch Creek Indians are descendants of a segment of the original Creek Nation, which once covered almost all of Alabama and Georgia. Unlike many eastern Indian tribes, the Poarch Creeks were not removed from their tribal lands and have lived together for almost 200 years in and around the reservation in Poarch, Alabama. The reservation is located eight miles northwest of Atmore, Alabama, in rural Escambia County, and 57 miles east of Mobile.
The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is the only federally recognized Indian Tribe in the state of Alabama, operating as a sovereign nation with its own system of government and bylaws. The Tribe operates a variety of economic enterprises, which employ hundreds of area residents.
