In 2021, Ladies Who Launch is continuing its Powerhouse Women Series, highlighting impactful women in our community. In June, our Powerhouse Woman is Martha Miller, Regional Retail Sales Manager for Synovus Financial Corp and an Executive Vice President. She is responsible for the overall banking operations of 30 Synovus bank branches from South Georgia and throughout North Florida. Martha has worked in the financial industry for more than 30 years. She has served in various financial leadership roles including Okaloosa and Walton County Market President, Branch Management, Consumer and Commercial Lending, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Sales and Business Continuity.
Martha has strong community ties validated by a 30-year history of community involvement. Most notable are her role as Board Chair for Career Source Okaloosa – Walton, Board Chair for the Okaloosa-Walton United Way, President of the Niceville/Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Board for the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida. Martha was named Honorary Commander of the 33rd Squadron, an F-15 unit at Eglin and has served as a planning commissioner for the City of Niceville. She has chaired various committees and events for well known non-profits for multiple years, such as American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
Currently Martha is serving as a Board Member for Opportunity Place, Inc., and volunteers her time to serve as Master of Ceremonies for various non-profit events.
Martha has been awarded Leader of the Year multiple times within her own company and a recipient of the prestigious Synovus Jimmy Blanchard Leadership Award. Martha is currently serving on the Synovus Inclusion and Diversity Committee for the 3rd year in a row. She graduated from the American Banking Association’s premier graduate banking school, Stonier Banking School in Philadelphia.
Martha resides in Valparaiso with her husband Andy.
