A tropically clad Easter Bunny delighted hundreds of kids and their families on Easter Sunday at LuLu’s restaurant in Destin. The Easter Bunny was on hand to visit and pose for photos with boys and girls of all ages and their families to capture the memory, as well as to give each child a candy treat. Despite being a chilly start to the day, the sun was shining brightly for the 6th Annual LuLu’s Marlin 5K Walk/Run with 180 runners participating for a good cause. The proceeds benefited high school cheerleaders and sports teams in Niceville and Ft. Walton Beach. Men, women, teens and children from the age of 8 and under, ran or walked in the friendly, yet competitive out and back course that started at LuLu’s, went into the adjacent Regatta Bay community, and ended back at LuLu’s. Many families came out to enjoy a spooktacular day of Halloween festivities and a costume contest at LuLu’s 6th Annual BooLu's Halloween event. Creativity abounded in the costumes worn by both kids and adults with costume contests held by age groups, as well as a family/group category. The 5th Annual Tropical Re-Union wedding vow renewals were held recently at LuLu’s in Destin. Ordained minister Hurricane Jane Carver presided over the ceremonies to renew the vows of 100+ couples. The “newly-weds” were given official Certificates of Reunion and they enjoyed complimentary champagne toasts, a wedding cake and flowers for the “brides.”
