Travel Information

Destin is situated in Florida's Panhandle, along the Emerald Coast, approximately eight miles east of Fort Walton Beach, 50 miles east of Pensacola, and 50 miles west of Panama City.

The area is serviced by two airports: the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), which is five miles north of Fort Walton Beach, and the Destin Executive Airport, located within Destin's city limits. Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport provides service through these major carriers: Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta, Southwest, and Sun Country Airlines. Within an hour’s drive to Destin’s east is Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) and to Destin’s west is Pensacola International Airport (PNS).

Mid-Bay Bridge Authority

The fastest way to the beaches of Destin and South Walton is the Choctawhatchee Mid-Bay Bridge. Take the bridge and have more time to play!
